PhD student (f/m) - Synthesis and assembly of inverse patchy colloids

The Centre de Recherche Paul Pascal and the Institute of Condensed Matter Chemistry are currently seeking a: PhD student (f/m) Synthesis and assembly of inverse patchy colloids.
We seek an enthusiastic candidate for a PhD position to work on an ambitious project in the field of patchy colloidal particles. Your job will be i) to synthesize heterogeneously charged patchy particles with a well-controlled number of patches on their surface by different synthetic routes, and (ii) to study their collective assembly by combining the use of Dynamic Light Scattering, cryo-electron microscopy, Ultra Small Angle X-ray Scattering (USAXS), and transmission electron microscopy in a liquid flow cell. This project will be carried out in close collaboration with BOKU University and TU Wien in Vienna in the context of an ANR project.

Profil / Qualifications Requises
Required skills and qualifications Candidates should have a Master degree in Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Materials Science or related fields and be fluent in spoken and written English. An experience in colloidal particlesâ€™ synthesis should be a plus. We are looking for an enthusiastic person to push the project towards success.
